IllFonic and Teravision Games have announced that after two years in development, “Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game” will arrive on consoles and PC on June 4, 2024.
First announced back in 2022, “Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game” is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game set in the world of the 1988 cult classic film. In “Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game,” you’ll take sides in the battle between Killer Klowns and citizens of Crescent Cove, in a 3v7 fight between Klowns and humans.
As Killer Klowns, you’ll utilize your alien abilities and hunt humans with wacky weapons in an effort to harvest the population of Crescent Cove. As humans, you’ll scour the city for valuable loot and weapons while trying to avoid getting captured by the Klowns.
Each game will take place in a randomly generated map of Crescent Cove, populated with a mix of Klown and Human players alongside non-player characters (NPCs). A unique aspect of “Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game” is that if human players die, they can respawn – and even change class – as long as there are still human NPCs from the desired class alive and available for them to embody.
“Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game” is now available for pre-order for PC on Steam, for PS5 in the PlayStation Store, and for Xbox Series X|S in the Xbox Store in both Standard and Deluxe Editions. Pre-order of the standard edition nets you one week advance access to the game, two human cosmetics, one Klown skin, and Klown character Slim.
The Deluxe Edition of “Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game” includes everything from the standard edition as well as human characters Mike and Debbie, three additional Klown skins, including Bibbo from the “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” movie, a digital soundtrack and digital art book.
