Earlier this year, Leatherface, the deranged serial killer who first made his appearance in Tobe Hooper’s 1973 classic “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” made his return in Netflix’s requel of the same name. This week Hiya Toys announced that the latest take on this chainsaw-wielding killer would be getting his own action figure later this year.
The new 1/8 scale action figure stands just under five inches tall and features intricate details based on the character in the Netflix film. The figure will come with one pair of interchangeable hands and a chainsaw accessory and features 15 points of articulation.
The figure is available for pre-order now through Entertainment Earth and is expected to ship in April of 2023.
In Netflix’s “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas, to start an idealistic new business venture. But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, whose blood-soaked legacy continues to haunt the area’s residents — including Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who’s hell-bent on seeking revenge.
