Lincoln Monsters is a vintage toy brand that has recently risen from the grave. The only thing is, it’s a retro toy brand that never was. Lincoln Monsters is a new collaboration from White Elephant Toyz, Absolutely Retro, and Plaid Stallions, who have joined forces to make dimestore retro monsters. The name, and the figures, are inspired by the legendary knock-off toy company Lincoln International. However, Lincoln Monsters reimagines the company as a 70s third-rate film studio, making exploitation and copying horror trends. Each Lincoln Monster release and creation will center around a fictional movie from Lincoln International Studios.
The first wave of figures is based on the fictional films “The Evil of Count Dracula” and “The Power of Frankenstein.” Each eight-inch figure takes inspiration from the original Lincoln International toys but comes on an updated Type-S body with custom-tailored outfits. The figures come packaged in a solid box with original artwork by Chris Franklin made to look like movie poster art from the figures’ fictitious films.
Both Dracula and Frankenstein are available for pre-order now for $29.95 each or can be purchased in the Blood-A-Rama Shock Festival 2 Pack, which comes in an exclusive sleeve, for $54.95.
