Indie publisher Polden has released a new trailer for its upcoming horror game, “Static Dread.” With it comes the game’s official release date: August 7, 2025.
The new trailer teases the awakening of Cthulhu and offers a chilling glimpse into the game’s unique blend of atmospheric storytelling and bureaucratic gameplay. Drawing inspiration from “Papers, Please” and “No, I’m Not a Human,” “Static Dread” places players in the role of a lone lighthouse keeper tasked with manning the beacon while navigating moral dilemmas, eldritch mysteries, and the creeping dread of the unknown.
“Static Dread” is available to wishlist now on Steam, where a demo for the game is currently available.
