Lionsgate has announced that “MaXXXine,” the final installment of Ti West’s “X” trilogy, will be released on October 8, 2024, on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital.
Set in 1980s Hollywood, Mia Goth returns as Maxine Minx, the adult film star and aspiring actress we first met in “X” as she finally gets her big break. But as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Hollywood, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past. The murderous finale features a star-studded ensemble including Elizabeth Debicki (“Tenet”), Moses Sumney (“Creed”), Michelle Monaghan (“Mission: Impossible”), Bobby Cannavale (“Ant-Man”), Halsey, Lily Collins (“Emily in Paris”), with Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad”) and Kevin Bacon (“Stir of Echoes”).
“It’s the biggest story of the three with the highest stakes,” and Maxine is “just a force to be reckoned with,” shares Goth.
“MaXXXine” opened in select theaters on July 5 and grossed $6.7 million in its opening weekend. To date, it has grossed $21 million worldwide.
