A24 has debuted the trailer for the final chapter in Ti West’s horror trilogy, “MaXXXine.” Mia Goth returns in her iconic role as Maxine Minx as she sets out to make a name for herself in Hollywood following the events of the 2022 film “X.”
The film is set in Hollywood in 1985, at the height of the Night Stalker murders, with Maxine finally getting her big break. But as the mysterious killer stalks Hollywood’s starlets, a trail of blood threatens to reveal Maxine’s sinister past.
Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon round out the film’s cast.
“MaXXXine” arrives in theaters on July 5, 2024.
“MaXXXine” is the third film from writer/director Ti West set in the world of “X,” which told of a group of young filmmakers who set out to make an adult film in rural Texas, but when their reclusive, elderly hosts catch them in the act, the cast finds themselves fighting for their lives.
The film was followed by the prequel “Pearl,” which told the “X-traordinary” origin story of the iconic villain in the first film.
