When Freeform released its “31 Nights of Halloween” lineup earlier this month I mentioned that I was disappointed that it didn’t include any sort of Hocus Pocus special, which they alluded to earlier in the year when they announced a “Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Extravaganza.” Based on the announced lineup it appeared that the “Extravaganza” was just a 12-hour marathon of the film on repeat, but Bloody Disgusting may have uncovered that a special is indeed happening.
The television audience company On Camera Audiences is looking for audience members for a Freeform Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Special that will be filmed at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA. According to the website, the event will include, “interviews with the cast, musical performances, a costume contest, special surprise guests, and much more!”
This is an 18+ event and will take place on October 2. Tickets are free and you can submit your info to be notified when tickets are released on the On Camera Audiences website.
With the lineup for “31 Nights of Halloween” already announced, timeslots included, I’ll be curious to see when this special actually airs. Will this replace one of the airings of Hocus Pocus on Halloween? Or is this something that will be chopped up and aired in pieces throughout the marathon. I guess we’ll see after the special is recorded.
