Child’s Play fans got some exciting news today when Mezco Toyz announced the reissue of two of it’s talking Chucky dolls.
For fans of a more wholesome, lovable Chucky, fans can pre-order the Talking Good Guys Chucky.
Before he became possessed by the Spirit of Charles Lee Ray — a serial killer better known as “The Lakeshore Strangler” — Chucky was just a harmless Good Guys doll. His face not yet scarred, his clothes not yet bloodied, Chucky appears cheerful and ready for fun.
Talking Good Guys Chucky has been designed to replicate the look of the Good Guy Doll from the original Child’s Play film from head to toe. From his bright red hair and cheerful smile along to the unique imprint on the soles of his shoes.
Packaged in a sturdy, die-cut window box inspired by the packaging seen in the films, Talking Good Guys Chucky stands 15″ tall and speaks four movie-accurate phrases when you push the hidden button on his back.
The doll is available for pre-order for $94 on the Mezco Toyz website and is expected to start shipping in June of this year.
The second Chucky reissue is a bit less wholesome. Based on Chucky from Bride of Chucky, Talking Scarred Chucky has seen a bit more wear and tear with a scarred and stitched face, and torn overalls.
Chucky features eleven points of articulation, realistic glass-like eyes, and a plastic knife.
Packaged in a collector-friendly, film-inspired window box, Talking Scarred Chucky stands 15″ tall and says seven different phrases pulled directly from the films.
The doll is available for pre-order through the Mezco Toyz website for $94 and is also expected to start shipping in June.
