Mezco Toyz Opens Pre-orders for Xenomorph Figure Inspired By Original Concept Designs for ‘Alien’

Mezco Toyz has opened pre-orders for a new limited edition One:12 Collection Xenomorph figure inspired by H.R. Giger’s original concept design for the creature’s suit in the original “Alien” film.

The 18-inch figure is based on the originally intended design for the Alien suit, which was never used in the film due to the technical challenges it posed. The figure features a pale, translucent, seamless body designed with an internal skeleton armature that creates the feel of the creature’s suit from the film’s developmental stages. The figure also features a hinged jaw with interchangeable inner mouths and an interchangeable chest plate pierced by the ASSO-400 Harpoon Grappling Gun, as seen in the movie’s final scene.

One:12 Collective Xenomorph Concept Edition figure

All of the figure’s accessories have taken on a semiopaque, milky look to compliment the originally designed Alien suit and honor the conceptualization of what became one of the most iconic movie monsters ever created. Accessories include:

  • Three pairs of posing hands
  • Open Ovomorph egg
  • Closed Ovomorph egg
  • Coiled Facehugger
  • Open Facehugger
  • Chestburster
  • One:12 Collective display base with logo
  • One:12 Collective adjustable display post

The limited-edition figure is a Mezco Toyz exclusive, which the toymaker will never produce again. The figure comes packaged in a collector-friendly box and is available for pre-order now for $100. The figure is scheduled to begin shipping as early as April of 2022.
