“Midnight Murder Club,” the first-person shooter party game from Velan Studios announced last summer, has set an Early Access date of March 13, 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Steam.
In “Midnight Murder Club,” players are invited to join a prestigious secret society as one of six guests who meet in the darkness of Wormwood Manor for a game of hide and seek and shoot. Pick a mask to hide your identity as you join your friends in a shootout in the dark where choices matter in a game of perception, deception, and shooting skill. Slowly creep through the inky darkness of the mansion, armed with only a flashlight and revolver, as you try to complete tasks. But beware, as you navigate through the dark hallways, other club members may be hiding in the shadows, more than willing to kill to be the last one standing. The tension turns to hilarity as you discover how tricky it is to navigate and shoot in complete darkness! Shots ring out, luring the other hunters to your location. Every flash of light is the promise of a deadly firefight.
New Game Mode: Wildcards
“Midnight Murder Club” debuted last fall with an open beta introducing players to the Free for All, Thief in the Night, Team Deathmatch, and Headhunters modes. With the Early Access arrival of the game, players will also get to experience the brand-new game mode that lets you break the rules like never before. In the new Wildcards game mode, players will play cards from their collection that change the rules for everyone in-game in wild new ways, from hijacking the toys that appear in vendors, to giving everyone super speed, to exploding into flames when you die. Then, when the dust settles and the match is over, you’ll be gifted brand new cards to add to your collection giving you even more ways to change the game.
Midnight Murder Club Guest Pass Edition
The Early Access release will also introduce “Midnight Murder Club” Guest Pass Edition, which allows your friends to join your game and play at no additional cost. To put it simply: If one person buys the game, they can invite up to five Guest Pass Edition players to play together for no additional cost in public or private matches, in all current game modes, as much as you want.
“We know that playing with friends is the best way to play any game and with the Midnight Murder Club Guest Pass Edition, it’s easier than ever,” shared Velan Studios in a press release announcing Early Access. “We’re really excited about the Guest Pass Edition because ‘Midnight Murder Club’ is the perfect party game to play with friends. Now players can simply invite their friends into the club and let the mayhem begin.”
The full version of “Midnight Murder Club” will be available in Early Access for $19.99 (or equivalent in your region), on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on March 13, 2025.
