Season’s Screamings, the holiday-themed horror convention from the producers of Midsummer Scream, took place at the Pasadena Convention Center December 17-19. On New Year’s Day, Midsummer Scream took to social media to announce the convention’s return in 2022, with the event slated to take place December 2-4, 2022.
Season’s Screamings showcased more than 200 sinister vendors and artisans, featured a Hall of Yuletide Spirits where haunters from across Southern California came together to create a ghoulish assortment of mini attractions and displays for the event. The three-day event also featured panels and presentations, including a live Boo Crew Interview with “Gremlins” star Zach Galligan and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of “Muppets Haunted Mansion” from Director Kirk Thatcher.
Season’s Screamings will take place in addition to the 2022 return of Midsummer Scream, which is slated to celebrate its fifth anniversary at the Long Beach Convention Center July 29 through 31. Both Midsummer Scream 2020 and 2021 were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, delaying the event’s fifth-anniversary celebration.
More information is sure to be announced leading up to the events in 2022, but seeing the announcement of Season’s Screamings is an excellent way to kick off the new year. For more information on Midsummer Scream or Season’s Screamings, check out MidsummerScream.org.
