Paramount+ on Monday announced it would significantly expand its content offering this summer, starting with the exclusive premiere of the sci-fi action film “Infinite” and introduction of more than 1,000 premium movies this week, including a selection of fan-favorite horror titles.

The first 1,000 films will be available starting June 10, 2021. The service will also exclusively debut “Infinite,” a sci-fi action film starring Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor and directed by Antoine Fuqua, on June 10; and become the streaming home for “A Quiet Place Part II” following its successful theatrical release.

Among the more popular horror titles being made available on the streaming service this week are “Body Cam,” “Saint Maud,” “Crawl,” “Child’s Play,” “Gretel & Hansel,” “Pet Sematary,” “The Prodigy,” “The Haunting,” “Paranormal Activity 3 & 4,” and “Arachnophobia.”

The Paramount+ summer slate will also include the return of the CBS Original series “Evil,” which follows the story of a woman (Katja Herbers) hired by the Catholic Church to determine if a serial killer is possessed by a demon.

Paramount+ packages entertainment from leading ViacomCBS brands. The streaming service now has two pricing tiers available to U.S. subscribers that package the best of live and on-demand programming. As of Monday, Paramount+ has the Essential Plan, an all-new, ad-supported tier at $4.99 per month, and also offers a Premium Plan at $9.99 per month that features commercial-free, on-demand entertainment with 4K, HDR and Dolby Vision and mobile downloads.
