Earlier this week Roblox announced a “Stranger Things” event leading up to the premiere of the show’s third season and now it appears that another video game, Fortnite, is also getting some strange new additions to the game.
Engadget has reported that the portals from “Stranger Things” that typically lead to The Upside Down have started popping up at the Mega Mall. Details surrounding the find seem to suggest that if you walk through the portal the game will go dark momentarily before transporting you to another location somewhere in the mall.
This is the second “Stranger Things 3” addition to hit Fortnite in recent months. With the launch of Season 9, the Scoops Ahoy ice cream shop appeared inside the Mega Mall as did scoops of ice cream that restore +5 health for every one eaten.
It’s also likely not a coincidence that all of the updates seem to be spawning at the Mega Mall considering season 3 of “Stranger Things” is heavily centered around the new Starcourt Mall, which opens in Hawkins, Indiana during the show’s upcoming season.
While there have been no official announcements about a “Stranger Things” event, many are expecting more “Stranger Things” related updates to roll out in the coming days and weeks following the premiere of “Stranger Things 3” tomorrow.
