In February, NECA announced Frankenstein’s Monster as the first in its new line of Universal Monsters Ultimate figures. Last month they announced a color variant would be released at a later date, and today the collectible toymaker announced via social media that the color variant would arrive first to market at Walmart in time for Father’s Day.
Like the black and white version, the color variant stands approximately seven inches tall and is sculpted to match Boris Karloff’s likeness from the 1931 film “Frankenstein.” The figure also includes several accessories, including three interchangeable heads, six interchangeable hands, shackles, and daisies.
The exact release date of the figure was not announced, and a check of the Walmart website doesn’t yet show the figure available, even for pre-order. But with Father’s Day arriving on June 20, we should start seeing the figure pop online or in-store in the coming month.
