NECA has announced that in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the 1931 Universal classic Frankenstein, they’re releasing an Ultimate action figure of the film’s monster.
The Ultimate Frankenstein’s Monster action figure is the first Universal monster to be made available from NECA’s Ultimate line and is sculpted to match Boris Karloff’s likeness from the film. Standing in 7” scale, the figure comes in premium anniversary packaging with plenty of accessories, including three interchangeable heads, six interchangeable hands, shackles, and daisies.
The figure will begin shipping in late June of this year and is available now for pre-order from many online retailers, including Entertainment Earth.
An added note about the Universal Monsters and NECA’s Ultimate line, the product description calls the new Frankenstein’s Monster figure “…the triumphant debut of Universal Monsters in its Ultimate action figure line,” which may suggest more monsters from Universal getting Ultimate figures in the future. In a recent Twitter Q&A, a user asked NECA if more Universal Monsters figures would be released this year, and they had this to say:
