On Sunday, NECA offered fans and followers a first look at its new “American Werewolf in London” Toony Terrors figures. The reveal came during a series of virtual Toy Fair first looks posted on social media by the toymaker during what would have been Toy Fair New York. The annual toy industry event was canceled again this year due to COVID-19.
The Toony Terrors 2-pack is inspired by the 1981 film “American Werewolf in London” and features Jack Goodman in his decomposing state and a werewolf. The Toony Terrors American Werewolf in London 2-Pack is available for pre-order now through Entertainment Earth and is expected to ship in September 2022.
The Jack figure appears to be inspired by his appearance when he visits David in an adult movie theater late in the film alongside some of David’s victims to try and get David to break the werewolf’s curse.
In the film, Jack is one of two college students attacked by a werewolf while walking late at night during a trip to the UK. Jack is killed during the attack, but his friend David survives. During the attack, David is bit and is destined to succumb to a werewolf’s curse. Jack returns as an apparition throughout the film in various states of decomposition to warn David of the impending curse and get him to stop it.
