In October, NECA teased an image of what looked to be an Ultimate figure inspired by Lon Chaney’s portrayal of the Phantom of the Opera from the 1925 silent film as part of its 31 Nights of Fright product reveal event. On Monday, NECA officially announced the figure and provided more details about the release.
The latest seven-inch scale figure celebrating the classic Universal Monsters captures the likeness of the Phantom character, which was of Chaney’s own design. The figure features five interchangeable heads, allowing collectors to display the Phantom disguised and unmasked. The figure includes three pairs of hands, a hat, a fabric cloak, a bamboo stick, and hat accessories.
The new figure is available for pre-order now from Entertainment Earth for $34.99 and is expected to ship in September of 2023.
