In May, NECA closed out its monthlong reveal event, “Monster MAYhem,” with the unveiling of a new figure in its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Universal Monsters line: Master Splinter as Van Helsing. At the time, few details beyond the image shared on social media were provided. This week the collectible toymaker released full details around the figure’s release, including new photos, accessories, and a release window.
The new figure, slated to begin shipping as early as November 2022, reimagines the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sensei as the famous vampire hunter Van Helsing. The new seven-inch scale figure comes with a small arsenal of accessories that include a crossbow, arrows, quiver, knife, stakes, interchangeable heads, and swappable hands.
Splinter as Van Helsing is the latest figure in NECA’s continuing Universal Monsters x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which pays tribute to the world’s most famous turtles and Universal’s horror icons. Splinter will join other figures in the line, which include Donatello as The Invisible Man, Raphael as Frankenstein’s Monster, Leonardo as Ygor, Michaelangelo as The Mummy, and April O’Neil as The Bride of Frankenstein.
