All month long, NECA has been hosting its horror-themed online product reveal event, “Monster MAYhem.” This week it paired the event with the reveal of some of its 2022 Convention Exclusives, and on Thursday, NECA unveiled a new Convention Exclusive inspired by John Carpenter’s “The Thing.”
In celebration of the film’s 40th anniversary, NECA is releasing a new action figure inspired by the film’s iconic poster. The special deco figure stands approximately 7 inches tall and features an LED light in the head and interchangeable and removable faceplates to create the poster’s signature burst of light. The figure will be packaged in a display-friendly fifth panel window box packaging styled after the movie’s poster.
Unfortunately, at this time, NECA has not unveiled if this will only be available at San Diego Comic-Con, or if folks will be able to purchase it online or through any of its retail partners.
