With the success of last year’s re-imagining of Stephen King’s IT, everyone’s favorite creepy clown, Pennywise, has been all the rage. As a result, NECA revealed at Toy Fair New York 2018 not one, but two Pennywise 7″ scale figures. The first figure is Pennywise as portrayed by Tim Curry in the 1990 television miniseries, IT. The second figure is based on Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd’s portrayal of Pennywise in the 2017 horror film, IT.
The IT 1990 Pennywise is faithful to his on-screen appearance with bright yellow jumpsuit and bozo-like bright red hair. The figure is fully articulated and features a total of four interchangeable heads, alternate monster hands, a noisemaker, balloons and a paper boat.
Like the 1990 Pennywise, the 2017 Pennywise is true to his on-screen appearance with an extremely detailed costume. The figure is fully articulated and features three interchangeable heads, interchangeable hands, a red balloon and a paper boat.
Both figures are scheduled to be released in August.
In addition to the above major releases, NECA also unveiled both versions of Pennywise for their Body Knockers, Head Knockers, and Scalers line of toys, which are set to be released in July.
