Earlier this year, NECA announced it would be releasing a new ultimate figure inspired by Kurt Russell’s character Macready from the 1982 John Carpenter classic “The Thing.” Today, they announced that the figure is headed to Target as First to Market in time for Father’s Day.
The MacReady (Outpost 31) Ultimate figure stands approximately seven inches tall. It includes a slew of accessories, including three interchangeable head sculpts, six interchangeable hands, a hat, goggles, sunglasses, a lantern, a bottle of whisky, a glass, and a shotgun.
The exact release date of the figure was not announced, and a check of the Target website doesn’t yet show the figure available, even for pre-order. But with Father’s Day arriving on June 20, we should start seeing the figure pop online or in-store in the coming month.
