Netflix has announced the new Japanese zombie film “Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead,” based on the hit horror manga series “Zombie 100.”
The new film is a horror comedy that its creators hope will be a fresh take on the saturated zombie landscape. The film follows a young man named Akira, played by Eiji Akaso, whose dull life is invigorated when he wakes up to the zombie apocalypse. It’s a survival story of how Akira, who has a highly positive nature, takes on such an extreme challenge.
“Hearing zombies, you would imagine it to be a panic movie,” said film star Eiji Akaso during day two of Netflix’s Geeked week. “But instead you find it to be an extremely positive story. It’s a new take on a zombie movie.”
