Netflix in 2025: Here’s What Horror Fans Have to Look Forward To

Netflix has shared the complete lineup of shows and movies coming to the streaming platform in 2025. With over 20 new and returning shows and 18 films slated to arrive in 2025, Netflix definitely isn’t lacking in new content to consume. But of that content, what’s coming to the platform for horror fans to get excited about? Take a look:

Spring

Devil May Cry


Arriving on April 3, “Devil May Cry” is the animated series adaptation of the popular Capcom video game of the same name. From creator Adi Shankar, sinister forces are at play to open a portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.

Black Mirror


Season seven of the hit Netflix sci-fi anthology series from Charlie Brooker debuts on April 10. The upcoming season will feature six new episodes, including a sequel to the season four opener, “USS Callister,” with Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson, and Billy Magnussen reprising their roles.

Fear Street: Prom Queen


On May 23, return to Shadyside for the latest installment in Netflix’s “Fear Street” franchise. In “Fear Street: Prom Queen,” prom season at Shadyside is underway, and the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider puts herself in the running, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ’88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.

This November, Netflix will debut Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein.” The classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.

The film stars Oscar Isaac ( the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy) as Dr. Victor Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi (“Saltburn”) as The Monster, and Mia Goth (“X”) as Elizabeth.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery

While a release date has not been announced, the third installment in Netflix’s “Knives Out” franchise, “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” is expected to arrive sometime in the fall. Daniel Craig returns as famed private detective Benoit Blanc, with what is said to be his most dangerous case yet. Details on the film’s plot are scarce. Still, the film will feature an all-new ensemble cast that includes, Josh O’Connor (“Challengers”), Glenn Close (“Dangerous Liaisons”), Josh Brolin (“No Country for Old Men”), Mila Kunis (“Black Swan”), Jeremy Renner (“Hawkeye”), Kerry Washington (“Scandal”), Andrew Scott (“All of Us Strangers”), Cailee Spaeny (“Civil War”), Daryl McCormack (“Good Luck to You”), and Thomas Haden Church (“Sideways”).
