Castlevania was one of the first video games I owned for the NES when I was a kid.  Alongside Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda it has been a longtime favorite from my youth, so when Netflix announced earlier this year they were developing a Castelvania series, I was excited.  The details around the series have been slim, but this week Netflix dropped a teaser trailer for the animated series.
Developed by Frederator Studios and written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis the series will follow the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, as he tries to save Eastern Europe from the wrath of Dracula. Â The teaser still doesn’t give up much about the series, but it’s an exciting peak into what we can expect when the 4 part series premiers on Netflix on July 7, 2017.
