It’s been a year since Netflix debuted its anime series Castlevania, based on the popular video game franchise of the same name. Last month voice actor Richard Armitage, who voices the character Trevor Belmont in the series, shared that work was starting on season 3, but there was still no news on the release of season 2. On Friday, as part of their NETFLIX❤ANIME panel at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, Netflix finally announced the season 2 release date.
The second season of Castlevania, which will continue to follow the adventures of Trevor Belmont, the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, will launch on Netflix on October 26, 2018. In season two, Belmont and the son of Dracula will work together alongside the group of misfits Belmont amassed during season one as they race to find a way to save humanity from extinction at the hands of Dracula and his sinister vampire war council.
