In 2020 Los Angeles became the first city to host a “Stranger Things” Experience. Debuting in the midst of a pandemic, the Los Angeles event was a drive-into experience that transported guests back to 1985 and the Starcourt Mall, where attendees were at the heart of the action from the latest season of “Stranger Things.” (You can watch 11 minutes of the experience that was shared during Netflix’s Geeked Week here.) With pandemic fears waning, New York and San Francisco are getting an all-new “Stranger Things” The Experience of their own, and it looks as though it may have some ties to the upcoming fourth season of “Stranger Things.”
Opening in Spring of 2022, the updated “Stranger Things” experience will be an indoor immersive event that takes attendees into Hawkins Lab, the government laboratory originally headed by Dr. Martin Brenner, and the facility which Eleven escaped from during the first season of the show.
Both Hawkins Lab and Dr. Brenner reappeared in the “Stranger Things 4” teaser, which was released in May, suggesting the location will again be a prominent part of the series during its upcoming fourth season. And with the new “Stranger Thing” experiences opening in 2022, closer to the season four premiere, we can only assume that it will have some ties to season four based on the description and key art.
Hawkins Lab is back and open to the public… and people say it’s MK-Ultra nice these days…
Strange things are happening once again. Only the bravest guests are invited to discover the secrets within the walls of the lab. There may be the occasional testing, analysis, or psych evaluation. Don’t worry it’s safe… perfectly safe…
The New York and San Francisco “Stranger Things” Experience will also feature “The Mix-Tape Area,” a medley of “Stranger Things” locations and fan-favorite moments with immersive photo ops, engaging interactivity, delicious food and drink themed from the show, and a one-of-a-kind “Stranger Things” bar that can only be found in this special event.
Tickets for “Stranger Things” The Experience New York will be released on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 11 AM ET, with tickets for “Stranger Things” The Experience San Francisco being released at 11 AM PT. Tickets start at $54 per person. For more information on either “Stranger Things” experience, visit strangerthings-experience.com.
