Last month Netflix announced the return of Geeked Week, its virtual event celebrating all things genre entertainment at Netflix. This week, Netflix released a trailer for the fan-favorite event and details on the event’s lineup of hosts, event schedule, and some of the shows that we can expect to learn more about.
Geeked Week will take place Monday, June 6 through Friday, June 10, and will be packed with cast reveals, talent appearances, trailer premieres, sneak peeks, surprise announcements, and more from over 60 Netflix projects. Fans can expect the latest from “Stranger Things,” “The Sandman,” “The Umbrella Academy,” “Manifest,” “The Gray Man,” “Alice in Borderland,” “Day Shift,” “Resident Evil,” “The Sea Beast,” and for the first time ever they’ll be sharing exclusive Netflix games.
Each day of Geeked Week will be dedicated to different themes:
- Monday, June 6: Series
- Tuesday, June 7: Film
- Wednesday, June 8: Animation
- Thursday, June 9: Stranger Things
- Friday, June 10: Games
While last year’s event featured five days of host Rahul Kohli (“Midnight Mass”) and Mari Takahashi, this year, Netflix seems to be switching things up and will feature a diverse lineup of hosts. While Takahashi is set to make a return as a host, other hosts include Jacob Bertrand (“Cobra Kai”), Megan Cruz aka JStoobs, Jaeden Martell (“IT”), Reece Feldman aka guywithamoviecamera, Juju Green aka Straw_Hat_Goofy, Ella Purnell (“Army of the Dead”), Tiffany Smith (“Masters of the Universe: Revelation”), Felicia Day (“Mystery Science Theater 3000”), author B Dave Walters, and video game industry personality, Geoff Keighley.
More details are expected to be announced leading up to the event. For the latest information, follow @netflixgeeked on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
