Target kicked off its “Fall Geek-Out” collectible toy event this past Friday. The big-box retailer is set to dop all-new exclusive collector toys from some of the most popular brands and franchises from now until October 1 as a month-long celebration of geek culture, collecting, and fandom.
The releases kicked off on Friday with the unveiling of a McFarlane Toys Batman Year 2 figure, but if you look ahead in the “Coming Soon” schedule, Target is set to release all-new “Stranger Things” from Funko on Friday, September 17.
Details on the product or products have not been revealed from Target or Funko. It does seem a bit premature to start seeing Pop! figures from the upcoming fourth season of “Stranger Things,” especially since we’ve only received a teaser and a sneak peek for the season, and it’s not set to premiere until 2022. However, Target regularly gets exclusive variants and Super Sized Pop! figures, so we may see a new take on something previously released. It’s also possible, considering the timing, that Target is getting an exclusive “Stranger Things” Funko Pop! Minis Advent Calendar. Or, it could be something new altogether. These are all just my own guesses, of course. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see!
