Netflix Bites, a new dining experience at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV is now open for a one-year culinary residency that combines Netflix’s storytelling with MGM Grand’s hospitality, offering a culinary journey crafted to give fans a new way to experience their favorite stories and characters. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with each menu item inspired by a hit Netflix show or movie. Among the offerings are several menu items inspired by “Stranger Things.”
Stranger Things
From what I can tell, “Stranger Things” fans have the largest selection to choose from when it comes to themed food choices. Regardless of the time of day, there is a food option based on “Stranger Things.” In addition to coffee and contemplation, you can fill your morning with:
- Dusty Bun’s Cinnamon Waffles – This decadent tribute features two Belgian waffles, cream cheese icing, whipped cream, and candied cinnamon pecans.
- Eleven’s Feast – Some of Eleven’s personal comfort food favorites, including crispy chicken and waffles
At lunch and dinner time, Surfer Boy Pizza takes center stage with four pizza offerings inspired by the “Stranger Things 4” eatery:
- Hellfire Honey – Hot honey pan pizza with pepperoni cups
- Try Before You Deny – An Argyle-approved pickled jalapeno pan pizza with pineapple
- Plain Jane Cheese Pizza – Fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, and grated romano on a pan pizza
- Barbecued Demochicken Pizza – A combo of roasted chicken, barbecue sauce, red onion, and cilatron on a pan pizza
In addition to pizza, the menus also features:
- Stranger Wings – Chicken wings with a choice of buffalo sauce, lemon-pepper dry rub, or BBQ sauce flavor with carrots, celery, and bleu cheese dressing on the side
- The Hellfire Club – A club featuring a stack of roasted turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo
For dessert, “Stranger Things” fans can enjoy the U.S.S. Butterscotch Sundae, inspired by the Scoops Ahoy favorite. This bowl of vanilla ice cream comes drizzled in warm butterscotch sauce and is topped with crumbled Heath bar, whipped cream, and a cherry on top.
“Stranger Things” also has its own VIP cocktail called The Mind Flayer. This dark, bourbon drink features Maker’s Mark bourbon, lemon juice, blackberries, St. Germain, Giffard Creme de Mure, ginger syrup, and cotton candy lightning cloud.
While “Stranger Things” has the most offerings on the menu from the horror realm, there are a handful of one offs from other Netflix horror tiles.
Fans of Netflix’s “Wednesday” can enjoy Nachos Nevermore, an appetizer with chips that ar dark as night wreathed in cheddar cheese sauce, avocado, jalapeno, queso fresco, crema, and showered in blood-red salsa.
Inspired by Army of the Dead is the Lucky Boy Burger, named after the roadside diner Scott Ward, played by Dave Bautista, worked at in the film. The burger features a quinoa-chickpea patty, topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and royale sauce.
Inspired by the 2018 thriller “Bird Box” is Bird, Boxed a plate of fried chicken, mac and cheese, a biscuit and potato wedges.
Finally, Mike Flanagan’s 2023 horror series, “The Fall of the House of Usher” has its own VIP cocktail called The House of Usher, a potent cocktail featuring butterfly peaflower infused Absolut vodka, Absolut Raspberri vodka, Luxardo Maraschino, vanilla simple syrup, and citric malic acid.
The complete menu delivers something for everyone, from hearty sandwiches and juicy burgers to fresh fish, crisp salads, irresistible sides, and decadent desserts—plus plenty more to satisfy any craving, anytime.
