New ‘Pet Sematary’ Trailer Shows Us a Darker, More Terrifying Film

When Paramount Pictures released its first trailer for their remake of Pet Sematary last October we got to meet the Creed family, John Lithgow as Jud Crandall, and heard some of the lore behind the local “pet sematary,” but the scares were limited to the last 30 seconds of the trailer in quick flashes. Today, Paramount Pictures released its second trailer for the film and reveals just how dark and scary this movie might be.

Lithgow’s character lines again narrate most of the trailer, but the focus this time is less on family and more on what the Pet Sematary holds, what it can do, and the horrors it can unleash. Check out the new trailer below!

The new Pet Sematary will hit theaters on April 5, 2019.
