New “The Quiet Man” Trailer Reveals Sinister Plot and Masked Antagonist

When Square Enix debuted the teaser trailer for “The Quiet Man” at this year’s E3, we didn’t have a lot to go off of.  The game’s protagonist appeared to be a deaf man and during a run in with some bad guys in an alley we learned he could kick some ass, but beyond that, not much was revealed.   Now a new trailer sheds some light on the motives of our main character and reveals the game may have some darker plotlines beyond just beating up bad guys in an alley.

The new trailer reveals the main storyline of the game, in which a local songstress has been kidnapped by a mysterious masked man and our deaf protagonist Dane searches to uncover the motives behind the crime.  But imagery peppered throughout the trailer reveal a much dark underbelly to this story as we see flashes of dead birds, creepy drawings, a kid with blood on their hands, and a possible voodoo doll.  While this game isn’t necessarily horror, it does seem to be leveraging darker themes that might be of interest to fans of the horror genre.

The game does not yet have a release date, but is due to be released on PS4 and Steam “soon.”
