Thanks to the folks at Toy News International, I recently discovered that we might be getting new six-inch action figures inspired by the Universal Monsters. The figures were discovered via a new product listing from the Italian toys and collectibles distributor Cosmic Group, which has listed four new Universal Monsters action figures from Jada Toys, the toymaker best known for its die-cast figures and vehicles.
Like the recently announced NECA Universal Monsters Ultimate figures, each figure will reportedly have interchangeable heads and hands and various accessories. The figures listed on the site include Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, and Bride of Frankenstein.
At this time, it’s unclear when or if these figures will be distributed in the U.S. It’s also unclear what the figure price point will be and what the articulation will look like. Regardless it’s great to see more Universal Monsters figures being released since, for a long time, it felt like Super7 ReAction figures were all we were getting.
You can see some low-resolution photos of the figures posted by Cosmic Group that show the interchangeable parts a bit more clearly, below:
