Super7 announced on Friday a new collaboration with Saucony. The two brands are coming together to release a new collection of Universal Monsters themed shoes.
The Super7 x Saucony Universal Monsters collection will feature new kicks inspired by “The Creature from the Black Lagoon,” “Frankenstein,” “The Bride of Frankenstein,” and “The Mummy.”
The Creature from the Black Lagoon Saucony Jazz Original shoes feature a textured, scale-like material on both the toe box and heel cup, along with tonal green color blocking accented by red laces (just like Creature’s red lips). The outsoles are translucent swamp water green for a truly monstrous finishing touch.
The “Frankenstein” shoes feature shades of monster green and jacket gray color blocking, with custom suture-like stitching holding each panel together on top of a black midsole.
The Bride of Frankenstein shoes feature pale green and ivory panels stitched together and the Bride of Frankenstein’s signature hairstyle embroidered across the heel cup. But the real magic of these shoes appear when the lights are out because these Saucony Jazz Original shoes come with glow-in-the-dark laces and midsoles.
The Saucony Jazz Original shoes inspired by the classic monster film “The Mummy” feature a tonal white and gray palette with just a little blood red for accents and have a unique bandage-like fabric.
Each shoe features the monster’s logo on a woven label on the tongue, “monster” in Japanese embroidered on the heel tab, a Super7 x Saucony custom sock liner, and comes packaged in a themed box.
The horror-themed shoe collection will launch on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Noon PT exclusively at Super7.com, Saucony.com, and Super7’s two retail locations in San Francisco and San Diego. Available sizes range from Men’s 6-12 (Women’s 7.5-13.5) and will retail for $100.
This is the second Universal Monsters collaboration between Super7 and Saucony. The first collection, released during San Diego Comic-Con 2018, featured Dracula, The Metaluna Mutant, The Wolf Man, and Frankenstein and was available only at Super7’s “Boodega” pop-up retail store in minimal quantities.
