Following the success of the 2019 miniseries reboot of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?,” Nickelodeon quickly ordered a second season, and this week we got our first glimpse of things to come.
Yesterday, the network released a 17-second teaser of the upcoming season, which, based on the teaser, appears to be titled “Curse of the Shadows.” Unlike the original “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” series, which aired on Nickelodeon from 1990 to 1996 and featured a unique story each week, this latest take appears to be taking a different approach with each season of the series built around a single story arc.

The six-episode second season will premiere sometime early in 2021. It will feature an all-new Midnight Society telling a terrifying tale about a curse that has been cast over their small seaside town, haunted by an all-new villain named the Shadowman.
