The television Yule log was a tradition that started in 1966 on New York City television station WPIX. Since then, it has seen various iterations and this year YouTuber Disney Dan released a four hour, 4K Yule log experience inspired by Disney’s The Haunted Mansion.
The Yule log scene is inspired by The Magic Kingdom Haunted Mansion and features a changing portrait of Master Gracey hanging above a fireplace surrounded by festive evergreen wreaths and garland.
Over the course of the four-hour stream, you’ll see Master Gracey change from his corruptible mortal state to an undead state all while the flames dance below and feature the sounds of popping and cracking like an actual fireplace. As a bonus, the Haunted Mansion inspired Yule log features subtle haunting music by Sarah Schonert.
