Paramount+ Debuts Trailer for New Series ‘School Spirits’

On Thursday, Paramount+ released the official trailer and key art for the upcoming original young adult drama series, “School Spirits.” The series will premiere with three episodes on Thursday, March 9, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, with releases in other international markets set for a later date.

Produced by Awesomeness Live-Action Studios, “School Spirits” is based on the upcoming graphic novel by Nate Trinrud, Megan Trinrud, and Maria Nguyen. The series centers around high-schooler Maddie (Peyton List, “Cobra Kai”), who finds herself as a ghost stuck in the afterlife investigating her own mysterious disappearance alongside a group of other ghost students. Maddie goes on a crime-solving journey as she adjusts to high school purgatory, but the closer she gets to discovering the truth, the more secrets and lies she uncovers.

Additional cast members include Kristian Flores (“Reboot”) as Simon Elroy, Spencer MacPherson (“Reign”) as Xavier Baxter, Kiara Pichardo (“The Society”) as Nicole Herrera, Sarah Yarkin (“Texas Chainsaw Massacre”) as Rhonda, Nick Pugliese (“13 Reasons Why”) as Charley, Rainbow Wedell (“The Wilds”) as Claire Zolinski and Milo Manheim (“Zombies 3”) as Wally Clark. Josh Zuckerman (“The Offer”) and Maria Dizzia (“13 Reasons Why”) have recurring guest star roles as Mr. Martin and Sandra Nears, respectively.

Oliver Goldstick (“Pretty Little Liars”) serves as showrunner and executive producer of “School Spirits,” along with creators and executive producers Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud, who wrote the pilot. Max Winkler (“Cruel Summer”) directed and executive produced the first two episodes. List also serves as a producer on the series.
