Paramount+ Peak Screaming Collection Resurected for Halloween Season

Paramount+ has announced the return of its Peak Screaming collection. Arriving on the streaming service today, September 18, 2024, this year’s lineup features more genre-defining hits and classics than ever before, with over 450 new originals, fan-favorite horror movies, and iconic Halloween episodes from beloved series.

The seasonal collection will include the debut of the Paramount+ original film “Apartment 7A,” a haunting prequel to the cult classic “Rosemary’s Baby, on September 27;” and “Spongebob Squarepants: Kreepaway Kamp,” a new hour-long special arriving on October 10, where, while at Kamp Koral for a reunion, SpongeBob and the gang are stalked by a mysterious figure lurking in the shadows as campers start disappearing one by one.

The curated collection is a scare for a variety of movie fans, with terrifying thrillers, spine-chilling films, and frights for the fainthearted, with 25 expertly curated carousels. New and returning subgenres include the following and more:

  • Big Screen’s Big Screams: Box-office hits such as “Smile,” “Pet Sematary” (2019), “A Quiet Place” franchise, “War of the Worlds,” and “Annabelle: Creation”
  • New Releases: New frights such as “A Quiet Place: Day One,” “Pet Sematary: Bloodlines,” “Scream VI,” and “Apartment 7A,” which debuts on service and within the collection on Friday, September 27
  • Slash Hits: Spine-tingling slashers such as “Orphan: First Kill,” “Dexter,” “Pearl,” “Scream” (2022), and selections from the “Halloween” franchise, including “Halloween VI: The Curse of Michael Myers” and “Halloween H20: 20 Years Later”
  • Horror Heroines: Scream queens take the stage in films such as “The Ring” (2002), “A Quiet Place: Day One,” “Why Women Kill,” “Crawl,” “Gothika,” and “It Follows”
