Earlier this month I shared with you that artist Devin “Spicy Donut” Lawson had launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to expand his “Merry Murderers” enamel pin series, which features iconic horror characters in the classic cartoon style of the 1930’s. The initial goal was to release Leatherface, Pennywise, and Ghostface with an early stretch goal of Sam from Trick ‘r Treat. Since the campaign has been so successful, reaching its goal in the first day and initial stretch goals by the end of the first week, Devin has added two new murderers to the campaign. Pinhead from the Hellraiser franchise and Chucky from the Child’s Play franchise.
At the time of this writing the campaign had reached nearly $6,500 in funding and the new stretch goals hope to move the campaign as high as $8,000. Pinhead has been set to unlock as a $7,000 stretch goal and Chucky is set to unlock as an $8,000 stretch goal.
The new characters have been created in all four variations used throughout the campaign, so they will be available in the classic black and white with red accents, “original color variants,” which depict the characters in their true to their film colors, the gamer color variant, which uses the color scheme made popular in the classic Friday the 13th NES game, and finally glow in the dark.
