Polaroid has announced the release of a new “Stranger Things” edition of their OneStep 2 camera, which features a “paranormal flash developed by Hawkins National Laboratory.”
Clearly tied to the promotion of the upcoming third season of the Netflix Original Series, Polaroid wants you to “Make it a summer to remember.”
Inspired by the original OneStep camera from 1977, the Polaroid OneStep 2: Stranger Things edition camera features an extra bright flash in order to “create perfectly illuminated pictures in or out of the shadows” and comes in a unique blue and red with upside down branding, a nod to the ‘Upside Down’ in “Stranger Things.”
The camera can use both standard 600 film and i-Type Film, but Polaroid is also releasing “Stranger Things” themed film which features specially designed frames inspired by season three of the hit Netflix series. Frames include themes like the Starcourt mall, Hawkins High School, Hawkins Lab, and more. There are 16 frames to collect with each film pack featuring 8 of the designs.
The Polaroid OneStep 2: Stranger Things edition camera is available for purchase now through Polaroid Originals for $109.99 with film retailing for $16.99. There are also special packages available including a ‘Starter Set,’ which features the camera and a three pack of film for $157.99.
