In February, Mezco Toyz teased Damien as the next doll in its recently revived Living Dead Dolls line as part of Mezco Toyz Fair. On Wednesday, the toymaker opened pre-orders for the doll, which is expected to start shipping this Halloween season.
Damien, like the previously released Sadie and Eggzorcist Return of the Living Dead Dolls, was part of the original lineup of characters when Living Dead Dolls debuted in 2001. The mischievous schoolboy comes with two interchangeable “Death Mask” face plates, two interchangeable hairstyles (thank god, because I hated the hairstyle he was teased with), and two sets of glass-like eyes that switch from empty eyeballs to a soul-piercing stare. Damien wears his signature schoolboy uniform, including a removable overcoat, a blazer, a white shirt with a striped tie, shorts, socks, and a pair of worn boots, complete with a cap and a crown hat.
With 18 points of articulation and five interchangeable hands, Damien offers various posing options for enhanced interactivity. He comes complete with a slingshot featuring an elastic band and leather pouch, half of a broken ruler, and a stack of three books tied by leather straps.
In true Living Dead Dolls fashion, Damien comes packaged in a coffin-shaped box. The 10-inch doll is available for pre-order now from Entertainment Earth for $120 and is expected to ship in October.
Mezco Toyz revived the Living Dead Dolls in 2023 with ‘Return of the Living Dead Dolls,’ a fresh take on the iconic horror dolls that feature 18 points of articulation, interchangeable facial expressions and hands, and movable eyes. Damien is the third doll to be released with the updated Living Dead Dolls treatment.
