Late last month, Bif Bang Pow! debuted its latest wave of “The Twilight Zone” action figures, now the collectible toymaker has opened pre-orders for an Entertainment Earth exclusive glow-in-the-dark 1:1 scale prop replica of the Mystic Seer from “The Twilight Zone.”
The strange device appears in “Nick of Time,” episode from Season 2 of “The Twilight Zone” starring William Shatner as Don S. Carter and Patricia Breslin as Pat Carter, newlyweds who, after their car break down, choose to have lunch at the Busy Bee Cafe while waiting for the repairs to be made. The table they sit at has a fortune teller machine that answers yes or no questions for a penny each. Superstitious Don becomes infatuated with the device’s apparent ability to predict the future, thereby threatening his marriage and his future with Pat.
The limited edition life-size replica is fully functioning and includes a working coin mechanism, dispenses fortunes, and features an actual napkin holder. The prop replica features a series-true head design and glow-in-the-dark design elements.
The new prop replica is available for pre-order now for $299.99 and is expected to begin shipping in May of 2023.
