While the news was a bit overshadowed by the renewal of another hit SYFY series, “Chucky,” “Reginald the Vampire,” has been renewed for a second season at SYFY.
“Reginald the Vampire” is a dramedy based on Johnny B. Truant’s “Fat Vampire” book series. The series stars Jacob Batalon (“Spider-Man: No Way Home”) as Reginald Andres, the unlikely hero navigating a world populated by beautiful, fit, and vain vampires.
“The only thing better than getting the opportunity to make a season of television with SYFY is to get the opportunity to do it again,” said executive producer Harley Peyton. “All of us – cast and crew, writers, producers, and — can hardly wait.”
Unfortunately, a timeline for the series’ return was not announced with the renewal.
