Saban Films has released the first trailer to The Haunting of Sharon Tate, the psychological horror film starring Hilary Duff that recounts the events leading up to and the eventual murder of actress Sharon Tate by the Manson Family.
The film focuses on the last days of Tate’s life and is told from the actress’s point of view. According to Deadline, the film was inspired by an actual quote from Tate published in an interview a year before her death, wherein she revealed having dreams about ghosts haunting her house and foreseeing her own death at the hands of a satanic cult.
For those unfamiliar, Sharon Tate was a Hollywood actress and wife to filmmaker Roman Polanski who was stabbed to death by followers of Charles Manson while eight-and-a-half-months pregnant.
The film is set to be released in theaters and on-demand on April 5, 2019.
