A follow-up to 2019’s definitive horror documentary In Search of Darkness has been announced. The new film will feature more interviews, untold stories, and even new ’80s horror films.
“I am excited to announce that I am writing and directing In Search of Darkness: Part II,” said Director David Weiner in the email announcement. “The positive response to In Search of Darkness has been nothing short of amazing. It was a true passion project collaboration by CreatorVC, forged by genuine fans for genuine fans.”
The In Search of Darkness sequel will build upon the concept of the first film and feature all-new interviews from ’80s horror icons, influencers, and industry experts alongside previously unused material from the first documentary.
Like In Search of Darkness, the film will be broken out into film-focused segments highlighting films from 1980-1989 while also covering larger-context chapter topics inspired by the films of the decade.
In Search of Darkness: Part II will be available for order this October as both a doublepack with the original film and as a standalone add-on. The running time of the sequel is still being determined.
