Shout! TV Announces ‘Double Take’ Episode Celebrating Roger Corman’s Birthday

Shout! TV has announced that its new original series, “Double Take,” featuring celebrity guests hosting and curating themed double features, will premiere an all-new episode celebrating the birthday of legendary filmmaker Roger Corman on April 5, at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT.

The double feature will be hosted by VFX artist Alec Gillis (“Alien” and “Predator” franchises) and include the films “Battle Beyond The Stars” and “Galaxy of Terror,” both notable Corman films that Gillis worked on. The episode will feature exclusive intros with Gillis as he shares his experiences with Corman and his connection to the films.

To keep the birthday celebrations going, ShoutFactory.com will be running a sale on Roger Corman’s films on physical media from April 2-11.

Corman, who passed on May 9, 2024, would have turned 99 on April 5. The iconic filmmaker was renowned for his independent filmmaking prowess, helping launch the careers of countless talents, such as Gillis, James Cameron, and many more.
