To date, Spirit Halloween has unveiled 12 new animatronics for 2022, and on Friday, the Halloween retailer added two more with the unveiling of Strawman and Deadly Creeper.
Strawman is a new animatronic inspired by a scarecrow that stands at a towering 6.6 feet tall. Powered by servo motors, Strawman features terrifying movements. His creepy light-up yellow LED eyes and five sinister sayings add to the fear factor. Like many of Spirit’s recent reveals, Strawman is listed on the Spirit Halloween website but is not yet available for purchase. The animatronic is expected to be released sometime soon.
Deadly Creeper is Spirit’s latest gian spider. The 3-foot spider makes “realistic spider noises” (whatever that means because I have never heard a spider make noise) and moving pedipalp. Dead Creeper would pair nicely with Spirit’s Jumping Spider animatronic, you could fake guests out with the static Deadly Creeper and then get ’em afterward with the Jumping Spider. Deadly Creeper is now listed on the Spirit Halloween website and is expected to be released soon.
