Spirit Halloween announced its complete lineup of 2024 Halloween animatronics on Tuesday. Among the 20 animatronics revealed were some heavy hitters from the horror world, including Art The Clown from the “Terrifier” franchise, Ghostface from the “Scream” franchise, and Michael Myers from the “Halloween” franchise.
This year’s theme at Spirit Halloween is CarnEvil, and the horror icons are listed as “World Famous Entertainers” on the lineup poster shared by the Halloween retailer. Joining the trio is a duo listed as “Emily & Victor,” which I assume is referring to the “Corpse Bride” couple.
Interestingly, Art the Clown, along with his “Terrifier” co-star Little Pale Girl, was announced as new animatronics from Party City back in May, so I’ll be curious to see how the Spirit Halloween Art the Clown animatronic differs from the others or if they’ll be one and the same.
The Main Attractions
While horror fans will likely be most excited about the new animatronics listed above, Spirit seems to be putting emphasis on five core animatronics that tie into this year’s theme. Folks running circus or carnival-themed haunts or yard displays can look forward to checking out The Ringmaster, Nibbles the Clown, Bobby Strings, Cotton Candy Dan, and Barnaby the Bear when they are revealed later this summer.
Blast From The Past
Spirit Halloween also looks to be teasing the resurrection of three past Spirit Halloween animatronics in 2024. The poster features Cerberus, the three-headed dog animatronic, which debuted in 2015 and was last available in 2018; Twitching Banshee, who also debuted in 2015; and Creepy Towering Clown, which was available from 2017 through 2019. Bringing back old animatronics and giving them an update looks to be a recent trend of Spirit, who also gave its Demonica animatronic a refresh and re-release late in 2023.
Rounding out this year’s lineup are seven other animatronics that include:
- Gravestone Ghoul
- Night Terror
- Wanda Webworth
- The Cremator
- Mack Straw
- Dark Princess
- Demonic Gatekeeper
For now, we’re stuck with just the name reveals of this year’s animatronics lineup, but with this comes the certainty that we should be getting a look at this year’s animatronics very, very soon. What reveal are you most excited about this year? Let me know on social media.
