Although Spirit Halloween unveiling the bulk of its new animatronics during its “The Graveyard Shift” reveal earlier this summer, the Halloween retailer still seems to have a few Halloween tricks up its sleeve. Late in July, they unveiled the new W. Raith animatronic for 2021, and this week Spirit unveiled Lord Baphomet.
The new Baphomet animatronic stands over seven feet tall and features yellow light-up LED eyes, a rotating torso and arms that move to lift his scythe along with a mouth that moves to say five different phrases that include:
- “Ah, look at the precious little human coming my way. Such a tender morsel, an appetizer just to get me started. Add a little salt and that soul of yours might even be tasty. Ha ha ha! Don’t run away too quickly, I haven’t sharpened my scythe yet! Ha ha ha!”
- “Do you ever get the feeling of dread, like somebody is watching you when you are all alone in the dark, and there is NOBODY there to help you? Don’t whine like a pathetic cry baby, SAVOR this moment. I know I am! Ha ha ha!”
- “It is harvest time, I can smell it in the air. And I sense your soul is ripe for harvesting as well. When your time comes, my scythe will cleave your soul right off the vine like a ripened pumpkin. Time for carving!”
- “Your time has come, little one. Don’t stare in disbelief, it must happen for all of you sooner or later. Let’s get this over with shall we? Ha ha ha!”
- “The end of your world is fast approaching. Why, look around. You don’t want any part of this do you? Let me ease your pain, and put good use to that soul you do so little with. There is no sense letting it go to waste! Ha ha ha!”
The latest in this year’s animatronic lineup is available for pre-order now and is expected to ship on or before September 30, 2021.
