By early August, it appeared that Spirit Halloween had unveiled all of their new animatronics for 2020, but it appears they still had a few more up their sleeve with today’s reveal of three new 7-foot animatronics.
The first of the three animatronics is the Towering Boogey Man with Kid animatronic. This Towering Boogeyman Animatronic features creepy light up eyes and an animated head and torso that turns from side to side. The hanging child also features screaming and flailing animations of its own that are sure to terrify. Order yours now on the Spirit Halloween website.
The second animatronic unveiled is a ginormous gourd called Root of Evil.
After years of competition in the state fair and years of failure the pumpkin farmer had had enough and called it quits. The constant trial and error and countless hours in the pumpkin patch made him sick of all of it and he just went mad. Now he’s known as the Root of Evil and resides in the patch as his permanent home protecting his precious pumpkins from any potential pumpkin pickers. Don’t get caught trying to take a pumpkin from his pumpkin patch or you may end up looking like a real life jack-o-lantern.
The Root of Evil Animatronic will tower over guests with his lanky seven-foot frame and glowing head. The animatronic features a torso that twists at the waist and says the following voice lines:
- “Ah, yes! Come closer! You are exactly what I need!”
- “With your help, my seeds will sprout and grow, their vines are becoming strong like mine!”
- “Now all I need is your blood!”
- “My children are growing strong here. Soon they will be able to branch out and create patches of their own.”

Finally, if any of the neighborhood cats go missing, the neighbors will likely show up at your house if you decide to display Spirit’s new Cattastrophe Animatronic.
The 7-foot tall witch animatronic features a pair of glowing eyes and a flickering cauldron. Her head and torso move side to side as she holds a flailing and hissing cat. The Cattastrophe Animatronic also features two sayings:
- “You will make a tasty meal – my favorite is the flesh from a black cat, but you will do nicely!”
- “See what happens when you cross my path? Let this be a lesson to you – and a meal for me!”
