Michael Jackson’s Halloween-themed album Scream dropped today along with a new remix of his classic track Thriller. The non-album track was released as a separate digital single and is the handy work of DJ Steve Aoki.
The release came from a partnership between Jackson’s estate and the renowned DJ and is titled “Thriller (Steve Aoki Midnight Hour Remix).” The upbeat mix of this Halloween classic mixes Aoki’s signature electronic sound with all your favorite parts of Jackson’s original, including Vincent Price’s narration. With Halloween just over a month away, this was released just in time to add it to your Halloween playlist. The track is available to stream on Spotify, or you can hear it in the official audio video below.
Jackson’s new album Scream features 13 of Jackson’s spookiest tracks as well as a bonus mashup track Blood On The Dance Floor X Dangerous Physical copies of the album also include the first-ever Michael Jackson augmented reality experience. The Scream CD and the collectible glow-in-the-dark 2LP vinyl, which will be released on October 27, contain an exclusive poster, which will unlock an immersive “Scream” AR experience developed by Jackson’s Estate, Sony and Shazam.
